A Happy BoyA Happy Boy by Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Perhaps it is not advisable to anticipate the experience of reading some work based upon the sole merit of it being one by a Nobel Laureate. Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson was awarded Nobel for his poetry and I have only read one of his translated novels so I really can't say much about him other than that that this work did evoke in the mind a vision of some beautiful moments ensconced in a rustic way of life, embossed with a sense of serenity and rapture which can only be experienced by someone who loves rambling through the countryside more than the rush of a city life.
